Warp Rift is back with vengeance.
Its been back about a year now and no plans to stop and it actually just celebrated its 20th Anniversary.
A while back I was lucky enough to be approached to write an article for Inqu28 Magazine.
It is a wonderful online magazine that features amazing articles and artists. It was a real honour to be asked to have an article included. AuthorTurbidious for - Doublebasefanatic, Italianmoose , Horizonmcr Hello all admirals,
With the advent of 3d printing Battlefleet Gothic has had a new influx of players. To help get players into the game easier Doublebasefanatic, Italianmoose , Horizonmcr have created a new starter pack. This is a great little one stop shop created by the guys to provide an easy access into BFG. Its a great effort by them. Click read more for the pack and description. AuthorCredits in book. So over the past few months the BFG discord has been working hard to put together a fan supplement and this won't be the only one!
The team has put together a great book with three new fleets and they all will have models.... AuthorTurbidious
Hi folks,
Over the past few years I have had the chance to be part of and develop a really great community on Instagram and Facebook. It has been great getting to know various awesome people in the community and I have been fortunate to work with some awesome hobbyists. As part of that and not exclusively restricted to battlefleet gothic content I started a live interview series called the Tabletop tour. I started it as part of an informal series of chats with various hobbyists around the world and it is has now grown to be in its fourth series, a fifth is confirmed and me having chatted to people across five continents and over 20 countries. AuthorXcalibur, Aus30k, Krafty Juárez and Turbidious. You may have heard mention of a project earlier in the year, BFG2020 or BFG:APA, which was primarily focused on incorporating an Alternating Player Activation mechanic into BFG. The first stage of this project is now completed thank to the hard work of Xcalibur (creator of BFGXR), Aus30k, Krafty Juárez and myself.
The community has grown a bit and this has been due in a large part to the accessibility of 3D printing nowadays.
It has really helped the Battlefleet Gothic scene but one of the main questions that has arisen in the community has been about the general size of the ships. So as a collector who has all but a few of the ships made and painted I took it upon myself to get some measurements for all the ships. Previously I uploaded a source for all the community created Warp Rift magazines. I did this because the usual source for them had been taken down and it wasnt clear on when it might be back.
With the site going down again and a recent discussion on the Facebook pages about keeping as much of this game alive and trying to preserve as much of the history of the game as possible, I thought it would be a good idea to have another source location for the Fanatic pdf documents. These were additional rules and scenarios that were written by several authors and released to the community to game with. I am fortunate to own a pretty sizable Battlefleet Gothic collection. Consequently, I am regularly asked on my Instagram account where I obtain my ships now that Battlefleet Gothic is out of production. Quite a number of my fleets were purchased before the game went out of production but others (like my Dark Eldar Fleet) were purchased from places I highlight below.
I recently recorded a short video for my Instagram followers too, which can be viewed on my account (@turbidious), discussing this topic but I thought putting pen to paper would also help. We have had a number of new officers joining the facebook page ranks and I suspect there will be more due to the new Brace for Impact Podcast being released. That is sure to pick the interest of numerous potential future admirals. So below are the places I keep an eye out for ships, welcome to my drydocks: |
