I finally did it! I finally made the pilgrimage to Warhammer World in Nottingham. I was over in the UK visiting family this past month and had a couple of days to spare so a mate and I made the long trip (not so long when you live in Australia) from Cardiff to Nottingham for two days of gaming. And I can tell you that the trip was worth it! First off the fact that it is free to enter and play on the gaming tables is brilliant. Most clubs charge a fee and so for the headquarters to allow free access was great for me. Some of the tables were absolutely stunning, with some of the scenery being fantastic to game on. We were fortunate to be able to have a game on one of the larger tables which contained Tau scenery. As you can see from the below photos, it was an awesome few games and the tables are brilliant. It was good to have a walk around the only brick and mortar Forgeworld shop too, although still too expensive for me, its still awesome to check out their stock – Especially the Titans. The highlight of Warhammer World though has to be the museum though. We were quite surprised by it only being $7 to enter and we both came away thinking it was a steal. I could wax lyrical about what was in the museum but ill let the gallery do the talking. If walking round and seeing some of these exhibits weren't enough, the largest diorama GW have ever done was just on another level. I cant do it justice so just look at this: We had two great gaming days there (although I lost both games) and washed it down with some beers at Bugmans Bar.
Well worth the trip all.
