For those not aware, Mother of All Battles (MOAB) is the biggest tabletop games convention here in Sydney that is held annually. It runs for three days over the October long weekend and allows for all forms tabletop systems to be played. It just finished this weekend and I had a chance to attend on the Saturday. It has various tournaments from 40K to AoS to Bolt Action to Sword and Spear. There are demo games like those for Sharpes Practice and Blood Bowl and free to play tables too. There are plenty of local vendors selling too. Plenty more people go for the chance to snag a bargain at the 2nd hand bring and buy store. To put the 2nd hand store into perspective a bit, tickets are given out for allotted times for you to enter and the first open session at 11am on the second day is always busy. I was fortunate enough to be one of those that made it into the first session. And I was not disappointed! Thats right, all those BFG goodies were found at the 2nd hand table for bargain basement prices. I have been to a number of these sales events before and never found any BFG so to come across this haul was a collector like mes dream come true. Suffice to say I bought everything I could find. My particular favourite was the still new in box Falchions! My Ad Mech fleet will be getting some new escorts. I feel that the Emperor himself wanted me to find this little haul. I walked into the sales area and found all this in the first box I came across. It was destiny. I also managed to pick up a full bag of Tyranid bits. I am looking forward to getting into this and create a full nid fleet. Hive Fleet Wyvern is coming.
Some old Necromunda enforcers were also found and purchased. So expect to see those in the future too. I you want to read more about MOAB go to their website here
