The Harvester fleets are again active in the Turbidious Sector after being awakened on Cryptus and the Dynasty is hungry to claim back the worlds they have lost to the lesser races. The Tutatamun Dynasty has stirred from its slumber, disturbed but excavations on Cryptus by the Imperium’s Industrial war machine. Searching for raw materials to mine for its industrial output the Imperial prospectors hit upon the living metal of the Tutatamun Dynasty tombs. The mining process interrupted the millions of years of dormancy and now the Tutatamun Dynasty has risen to defend its Tomb World. Crytpus calls for aid, but with the Ruinous Powers in ascendency, Ork incursions and a new Tau outpost the Imperium and Battlefleet Turbidious is stretched thin and thus far been unable to send assistance to the world. The world may not survive long. However, one shining light for the Imperium is the slow reawakening of the Necrons. The Overlord himself has been damaged during the long sleep and is undergoing extensive repairs still and has not yet awakened. His Royal courtiers, Regents as they are called in the Dynasty, rule in his stead, each with differing ideas of what their master would want. Their major question is whether to attempt to awaken their Lord or let him sleep until he is ready to return. The Regents haven’t been idle though and have begun a process of protecting their Tomb World but not only on Cryptus but also across the Sector. The Regents have sent Harvester fleets into the stars to gauge the level of Necron activity on their former worlds and what species are present in their former domain. They fought under the command of the Triarch and the Silent King in the Necrontyr Secession Wars and thus maintained a healthy sized empire. An empire that is no longer exists, with the majority of their former domain controlled by the Imperium. The Dynasty see this and the Imperium at large as an affront to their once glorious Empire, an upstart child that needs to be taught its rightful place. The Regents embrace the ultimate strength of metal, searching for a perfect vessel to obtain true immortality, flesh is weak. However, the Regents have agreed that the human form must have some robustness to it for it to survive in such a cold and unfeeling Galaxy. Consequently, they have concluded to capture and experiment on humanity, especially those in the Imperium who owes allegiance to the Adeptus Mechanicus. It seems that the Tutatamun Dynasty has been slow to awaken but with Necron ships being identified across the Sector it will only be a matter of time before the Dynasty walks at full strength once again.
