The Eldar Craftworld of Aemelith is known to have been operational in the Turbidious sector for at least six centuries. The Imperium’s records highlight the Craftworld fleets assisting Imperial battlegroups against Chaos forces at least four times in the past 100 hundred years as well. It is a much smaller Craftworld than the more well know Eldar worlds and it survived the fall far out in the dead zones of the south eastern fringes and it is believed they were inspecting various Necron Tomb worlds during this time. Due to the Craftworlds size the Aemelith often operated in tandem with the Lanruin Craftworld. That was up until Lanruin’s corruption by the ruinous powers, a fate that Aemelith Craftworld also barely escaped. Imperial scholars understand that the two Craftworlds had a mutual beneficial relationship, with Craftworld Aemelith following predominantly the Eldar Path of the Mariner, with Crafworld Lanruin following the Path of the Warrior. The Mariner path meant that Craftworld Aemelith provided much of the naval firepower for both worlds, with Craftworld Lanruin in turn providing the ground forces. This all changed with the corruption of Lanruin and so now Craftworld Aemelith relies completely on its superior naval prowess to prevent any damage to the world. Due to the lack of many warrior classes within the Craftworld the Aemelith prefer to use other races now to do their bidding. Led by Farseer Lothanil the Aemelith have manipulated Orks, Humans and Tau to do their bidding in the Sector to meet their nefarious needs. It is known that they manipulated a Chaos warhost into the path of the newly invading Hive Fleet Wyvern in the Belenos subsector. They have also been known to employ lesser races like the Gorganos and Fra'al. These objectives seem to involve taking revenge upon the various Chaos factions throughout the Sector. While the Aemelith will avoid direct confrontation on the ground they have been known to stand and fight on several occasions. When doing so they tend to use lightning fast attacks to cripple key objectives, using stealth and falcon assaults to cause mayhem. Imperial records show that jetbikes, warp spiders and swooping hawks have been their favoured units of attack. Some of the known Aemelith Craftworld Runes used. However, these instances are rare and the Aemelith have been far more active in the sphere of warfare they are more comfortable with – Naval Warfare. In fact, it is rumoured that the Aemelith have never lost a space battle that they initiated. While Farseer Lothanil directs the Craftworld so that it may stay alive, the Fleet is commanded by the Navarch Celtera and leads the fleet inside the powerful Void Stalker. The Void Stalker meets the Mechanicus designation of a battleship and certainly hits like one, but moves like an escort. This being the case the ship has proven to be the bane of any ship that may pose a threat to the Craftworld. As yet no ships have come close to even catching this ship, let alone shooting at it. The Void Stalker has resulted in numerous ships fleeing at its mere presence. Viper Squadron Omega was completing a routine patrol when a Chaos Carnage class cruiser ambushed them in Coinage Cluster. The Vipers appeared to be doomed but for the intervention of an Eldar vessel. The Carnage, identifying as the ‘Plague Claw’, immediately attempted to break to warp at the sight of the Eldar craft. The Chaos ship managed to flee but not before suffering horrendous damage from the Eldar ship. The scanning data suggests that it was the Void Stalker with its brutal lance weapons that crippled the Chaos ship, but the Eldar ships class couldn’t be confirmed. Picts of Craftworld ships attacking Chaos designated ships and protecting Imperial transports Picts of the Void Stalker destroying Chaos cruiser 'Plague Claw' and saving an Imperial convoy The Void Stalker was reportedly spotted in an engagement in the Lockhead Sector and is credited with the destruction of the ‘Purgatory’, a Chaos Hades class cruiser. The most recent encounter with this vessel was in the Turbidious subsector where it led a small task force which destroyed a complete Imperial patrol for no loses. Of the ‘Neptune’ (Tyrant class), ‘Orion’ (Dictator class), ‘Devastation’ (Dominator class), ‘Felix’ (Dauntless class) and a squadron of swords, only the swords survived. Imperial high command thinks this is due to the taskforce sailing too close to the Craftworld, which was rumoured to be in the system. Picts of Craftworld Ships showing their treacherous ways in attacking a separate Imperial convoy Dragon ships have come to be one of the Eldars most feared vessels, even among the Chaos warhost these ships inspire terror. The valiant crewmen in the Emperors fleet feel these are some of the most dangerous vessels in the sector. Their ability to launch large amounts of bombers and unleash devastating firepower makes these ships a handful for anyone in the sector. On several occasions the Dragon ships have destroyed and crippled vessels without loss. It seems that the ships Captains are content to cripple their targets that stray too close with regards to Imperial vessels but will pursue and eradicate Chaos vessels without mercy. Although woe to any Imperial Captains hoping for mercy from xenos scum. Wraith ships appear to be able to take on numerous roles and have resulted in some commanders underestimating their power and speed. In recent engagements two Imperial cruisers and six Chaos cruisers have fallen to the guns of these ships, and countless escorts have met their makers. The renowned Chaos Styx class cruiser ‘Slaaneshs Delight’, a ship that Imperial High Command had tried to run to ground numerous times, is one such high profile ship destroyed by these ships.

Thanks John, much appreciated. Glad you think the site looks clean and tidy. I can't handle sites that are too busy and ads everywhere. Thanks re the fleet too. They have probably been one of my favourites to paint ever.
