AuthorTurbidious Happy New Year my fellow admirals!
The BFG community goes from strength to strength with more designers and creators joining the community. This painting competition continues to roll on and warp rift magazine is well and truly back with a vengeance. We also have a fantastic remastered rulebook and fleet list we all can now use, along with a brilliant and easy to use Starter Kit to help get folks into this wonderful game. Its a good time to be an admiral.

AuthorTurbidious Happy New Year my fellow admirals!
Last year has been a fun year for the Battlefleet gothic community, more creators, more supplements, a discord server, a new youtube channel, more ships than ever before! We even had a BFG live stream chat! Who said this is a dead game!. The BFG community goes from strength to strength and as ever the monthly BFG painting competition is there as well. I decided to open the competition up to both my Instagram followers and the discord this year. It meant that we have had more entries and from various sources, which is only a good thing for the community. I have also seen a general increase in the number of folks playing this wonderful game and that is thanks to all of you who keep the interest in the game alive. AuthorTurbidious Well here we are again, 2021 is nearly finished and its been another crazy year of lockdowns and restrictions.
But while the world has been crazy the Battlefleet Gothic community continues to produce amazing content and not only painting wise too. The 3d design and printing market has flourished with new designs from creators like Italian Moose, Vanguard Minis, Soul Forge Studios and, of course, Battlefleet Galaxy. There has been a new influx of hobbyists on social media and there is even now a dedicated BFG discord. New rules and fan made supplements have been prepared, such as the Discordia Ruleset and new Horus Heresy Rules! And I even had the a chance to interview the one and only Andy Chambers. What a year! As ever the battlefleet gothic monthly painting competition has continued to flourish and its time to take stock of the fantastic year. Now onto these awards..... Well 2020 has been a crazy year for everyone throughout the world and while the world has been in chaos the battlefleet gothic community has continued to produce amazing content. It really is a lovely community and one that I hope continues to have its resurgence.
These little awards are a bit of a vanity project of mine, a chance for me to reflect over all the entries throughout the year and give out titles based purely on my humble opinion. These arent necessarily the winners of each month, no, these are entries that stood out to me. It has taken some time, we are even in a new year, but I have finished the 2019 awards for the Battlefleet Gothic monthly painting competition!
It was another year of amazing entries into the BFG monthly painting competition and it was again very hard to pick winners for what is the second set of awards I have done. Welcome to the first ever Turbidious Painting Competition awards!
As you may know, over the past year I have run a monthly battlefleet gothic painting competition, with voting each month conducted through the BFG Facebook page. As you can see from the monthly articles on this page there have been some amazing entries and I felt some recognition was deserved. Consequently, these awards formed in my mind. |
I run a Monthly Painting Competition over on the main Battlefleet Gothic Facebook page (Here) and these are each months entries.
The Competition is also sponsored by Battlefleet Galaxy Much appreciated. Archives
