While the warp storms raged and the enemies crawled out of the cracks or flocked to the Lockhead system the Imperium’s response to the crisis was, for once, swift. The bureaucracy that usually renders the Imperium’s initial response slow was absent in the Lockhead Sub-sector and this was due to a number of factors.

A Storm Erupts! – Month One
The Lockhead Subsector is under siege. The increased warp activity in the Turbidious Sector as a whole has caused a warp rift to appear in the spineward sub-sector of Lockhead. The sub-subsector is cut off apart from a single area of clear space in the coinage cluster, where Port Harmony resides. The greatest threat comes from the heart of the warp rift itself, with a daemon world manifesting itself in real space, able to sustain its place due to the massive warp storm raging around it. From this the arch nemesis of mankind sends forth their fleets to conquer the sub-sector. The loss of the subsector would be catastrophic for Turbidious and give the ruinous powers a route into core Imperial sectors like Ultramar. Background:
The campaign will be set in the Lockhead Sub-sector and will be a narrative driven BFG campaign. It seems the war throughout the sector as a whole has resulted in further warp activity with a warp rift opening in the sub-sector. Only a small window of clear space allows entry into the portion cut off. The Chaos bands spew forth from the warp rift intent on decimating the sub-sector and making a stronghold spine ward. It is rumoured a daemon world has materialised in real space! |
